Just wondering for those of you with children that still believe in the Easter Bunny, if you are planning anything special for the kidlets this sunday.

This is the first year that I am unorganised. I have managed to get a few things last night but will have to go out first thing in the morning and get some other things.

I am having an egg hunt in the yard. I always leave a trail of mini eggs from my daughters bed out to the loungeroom that lead to a bunch of eggs and stuff. Then I wrap a few eggs up and spread them throughout the garden. Of course the bunny always leaves a letter for daughter so she gets a huge kick out of that..

What are your plans?

No Plans Here. And never went that far.

I raise this Question Lou.

When do you stop. When do you say to yourself that your child is too old for these indulgences.
Then that year you decide to stop you have to watch her crushed little spirit as you both lose another bit of her childhood.

Or is She already old enough and going through the motions to please her Mother.

You see most Kids have these Childhood myths killed by Television. Television has advised them of the truth long before Parents even catch on.

And when these truths are learnt are you just spoiling the child with lots of Chocolate; When you should be teaching them the real reasons for this Religious holiday.

(And the You is not Lou specifically but you, as in the people of the World: In the last paragraph written)

No I cooked my Boy Bacon n Eggs, Beat him in a game of chess, Then went out and built a kick Wall for him. And he assisted me in this Manly endeavour.
Yes he got an easter Egg. Yes I pretended I didn't put it there. I'm just a big softee. beer

I love fantasy as well. Probably too much.
As for the knight in Shining Armour. Do you know how many Horse's i've been through trying to swim the ocean to get to you. Not to mention the cost of Replacing Suits of Armour???.

Six I tell you; SIX. I nearly Drowned twice trying to remove Armour in time to get back to the surface.

Oh Yeah. Big Shout out to the Girls in the Yacht "Naked Dreams". Thanks for fishing me out of the water last week. blushing wave

I sometimes think it would just be easier to buy a plane ticket and visit in my good jeans and White T-Shirt (Thats White T-shirt not Black so that i show i'm a good guy not a bad guy)laugh laugh

My children are 8&ahalf and 10&ahalf and this year or around christmas time just gone they started to ask me the questions seriously so i knew it was time to give them some straight answers back without spoiling there fun, dreams and excitment. And its all gone well, and I look back on thier enjoyment from believing in the easter bunny and santa and tooth fairy and know i did the right things . And I think about how i got enjoyment from watching them all excited, getting up early etc and thats magic.

Actually Lou,

my kids are old enuff to have discovered the truth about these festivities. my daughter was devastated when her father told her, she was to young at that stage.

but how do you answer Q? about god? There a book of stories about all of them and how they came about but its only what ppl have in their hearts and soul that make these celebrations special.

my daughter now assist in help prep for those occassions and she is great and loves doing it.

keep it going for as long as you can beacuse they grow up far to fast in the cold hard light of day. Those festivities are about giving to others and its only greed ppl who dont like to give on those days.

I'm good but a little bored at the moment. I've got vacation care work coming up but its a few weeks ago. I've got the travel bug again but i'm not going anywhere for a few months. i might try and get down to Melbourne for a week to see one of my best mates but we haven;t arranged anything yet. how are you doing? have you recovered from your gold coast trip yet?
