Howdy folks blues

I know I'm new here but I've been back on the dating scene for a couple weeks and have noticed something about these dating sites. There is a catch 22 for me. I live in the boondocks of North Carolina, way out in the sticks :) Most of the women I have searched for on this and other sites seem to be so dang far away for me to have any kind of relationship with. It's a matter of distance in my case. I have a commute boundary of 50 miles (1 hr drive), I will go up to 75 providing it is warranted but that extra 25 miles is really a grey area and depends on numerous variables. And he!! I wouldn't travel 100 miles to see Angelina Jolie, I'm sorry. So I'm faced with the facts that if I ever want to find someone for me I may have to move. Of course this is where the catch 22 comes into play. If I move to a new location, then I may not find who I'm looking for in THAT area either. And I hate moving without a purpose :) So I'm basically asking if anyone else is in the same boat as me with distance being the greatest barrier to a relationship?

Also, I have noticed that a lot of women's profiles are still active yet they haven't logged in, in months !!! It takes lots of time trolling thru old, outdated profiles when they no longer come here or participate. Maybe there should be a function which hides their profile from searches if they haven't logged in for over 60 days. Any comments on that one either ??

awaiting your responses :)
Thanks for your time
