I know what you mean...my stepdad passed about 2-yrs ago...I broke down the other day something fierce when I saw a man walking to his car that looked exactly like him, walker, oxygen tank and all 
I cried like a baby!!!! My oldest son gave me a big hug and just patted my back until I was through...I'm glad he was with me, I may not have made it

My dad worked for Amtrak for 30 years,he took us up to New York City all of the time.But he lived 75 miles away from me.He lived near Fredericksburg, VA and I live in the Baltimore area (Towson)is outside of the city about 8miles from downtown.------ This thread is Archived ------

My stepdad was in the fire department for the air force...then even after retiring from the air force he still worked at the fire department on base...he used to tell us all about all the different posts he had had (including when he was posted at Area 51...that freaked me out, let me tell you!!!!). He was such a good man...very strict but he took care of my brother, sister and I like we were his own...I just pray he knows how much he meant to me ------ This thread is Archived ------
