I finally got my own apartment 3 weeks ago....

My favorite thing about it is the upstairs wood patio. I love sitting out there at night with my laptop........unfortunately so do massive and I mean MASSIVE waterbugs. They are at least 3 inches long. They aren't in my house but I don't want to share my porch with them either.....any suggestions of what to put down to get rid of them???

Well I know ....I do that but the complex seems to be infested by them. I would prefer to have something down that keeps them off of my porch and out of my house. I'm not scared of them.

American roaches are hard to get rid of. A pest guy (paid killer) can spray and they will die....but leave their dead little bodies everywhere. When it is dry weather they like to come in for a drink. Some people will keep water outside, so they don't play in you toilet and sinks. Get a paid killer!

Get a block of wood, some tweezers, and a small hammer. Catch a roach with the tweezers, put him on the block and use the little hammer to beat his brains out. Do this to all the roaches and your problem is sloved.grin

You can get Seven dust from your farm store and sprinkle under the porch regularly. it is also good for your roses and flowers. Good stuff!

Sorry Stacy; all joking aside - we don't have that big of bugs up here, but ants are a problem, and bugs are bugs - I know that ants won't cross over a line of baby powder. And the Boric Acid thing works on them too. So try the baby powder - doesn't seem so cruel in a way...smile
