lusciousmile: Nice to know i'm welcome, Sharon. Thanks. It should be cheap to get there....will check flights and all, this week. I haven't been to any of those places, and it sounds like fun.
Got a nice swimming costume, from Mombasa. Will definately not forget it! Problem now, is how to get into it.
As explained in one of the previous posts (Sorrento thread) Sorrento and the surrounding region is built on volcanic rock (a la Vesuvius?) and, therefore, doesn't really have sandy beaches to speak of. There are bathing decks and the like at the bottom of the cliffs.......

Sorry, didn't read the whole thread.
If all there is to see in Italy (?????), is erupting volcanoes, why would you suggest a swimming costume? Were you making a joke, implying we would actually go swimming somewhere in Italy, or only talking about the volcanic rock and it's surroundings specifically, hoping to see if i was good in geography?
I don't get it,
I'm no expert of Italy, as others aren't of here or Africa.
........but, i do have friends in Venice. Not expensive to go there either, and my swimming costume would be of use if they took me to Cavallino, or where they thought best...

I have a bright idea .....to learn some Italian.
Firstly, volcanoes are not the only thing to see in Italy, there is plenty of places to go and things to do, as explained in my thread. Also, Vesuvius is NOT erupting.
Secondly, I mentioned a swimming costume because Sorrento is on the coast, if you read my last post here, I feel its clear.
Thirdly.... why on earth would I be making a joke, or testing your geography? Being good at geography is not a criteria for coming on the trip.... (now that one really does have me baffled, I confess!!).
Fourthly, again.... being an expert on Italy is not a requirement.
And finally, why on earth are you making a problem out of this? I was trying to be helpful and, if that wasn't obvious, I had actually said if you need any help to let me know...
Why are you always supposing there is some kind of hidden agenda?? None of my behaviour on these Forums have ever suggested that...?!!
Bad day at the office...??
One thing's for sure, I'm not getting into an argument with you..... and somehow, I really don't think learning Italian is going to help you....!!

For some reason, i never think you mean well (long story), when you talk to me. Maybe we had a bad start and should avoid each other.

There ya go with that paranoia again......... I have no axe to grind AND I am perfectly able to remain objective, thank you.
And there seems to be an increasing number of people you feel you should avoid, or they avoid you..... the single common denominator in all that, love, is.... YOU!!

Nighty night...
I have enough real friends, yes lots of people i have nothing in common with, i should avoid here.....thanks!
Don't start with me.....i'm really trying to be nice with you, just because i know we simply don't understand each other, that's all.
