My Poem: "These Tears" (6)
Willow1025: These TearsThese tear I cry are mine
They don't belong to you
Maybe, indirectly, indiscreetly, inappropriately,
You can claim them too
But they are mine
I am just biding my time
I am watching my tongue
I am being good
For every tear that I shed
I move further and further away from you
I can feel myself moving
And I am trying desperately to grasp
Onto any kind of lifeline to hold onto
You are not throwing me anything
But mixed signals that I cannot figure out
With each passing day
I feel like it is a losing battle
With each tear that falls down my cheeks
My heart gets stronger
I get more apprehensive
And yet, I am still intrigued
