Who is a hero in your life?

I'd have to say my grandpa is probably a great hero. His number one priority has been to see his children and us grandchildren get what we needed and to see us succeed in life. After he got all his kids moved out 2 years later my mother dropped me on their door steps. They raised me from a day old and made me the person I am today. He never missed a day of work until his car wreck that put him on disability. Even now he seems to struggle up enough money to send me a 20. He taught me values, morals, and how to survive. I would be happy being half the man he is.

He'll never read this and I'll probably never tell him but I know he knows. Now you all know, too.

I actually have SIX heros that I can think of ..in my life right now. My late fiance' who gave me the ultimate in happiness in the time that we had together is first and foremost my hero.
2.3.4. My three daughters..who have lost their daddy (not my fince',my ex husband) to accidental death three years ago, and despite the struggles I have given them by my inability to cope with so much being laid on my table, have managed to keep great grades, great attitudes and great behavior.

5. My mom, who lived for many of our lives (19 years or so) doing what she had to do to keep us safe..even though it didnt always work out that way. AND for her bravery to finally get us OUT of the situation we were in. LOVE YOU MOM!

6. My stepdad...for showing us all that there were other ways to be treated..even when we did something wrong. He raised his voice..and grounded us..but NEVER raised a hand to us. AND most importantly ...he never raised a hand to my mama....great men to exist in this world and he is one of them!

He probably does know betrayed - but I bet it would mean the world to him if you told him.

My hero is my big brother. He took over the male figure in my life when my father was killed in a car accident and has been there for me ever since. His love/support has gotten me through many bad times.

My hero…

My present Hero is my girlfriend Nadeen.. She suffered from headaches for years, while my father was dying she would chase me down in my car when I was running into the hospital… Just to make sure I was doing OK, as I did not have time for my friends then.

When my father died she hosted the dinner, and was there all the way through everything by my side. She is a single mother of two WONDERFUL children, and she manages then ever so carefully to make sure they are safe, happy, and loved. She managed her 3 jobs to make sure she could do everything she can for those she loves.

Now she had a brain tumor all this time, and when it came time for her to have help.. I was there in a flash. She recovered from her brain operation, only to run to my aid again as I was almost killed by my former partner.. All the while never complaining about her loved ones, or of her own plight.. she only gives, and gives of her self. Picking me up off the ground, in spirit and in mind.. she feeds my soul and my heart as I can see a hero in her.

Now she is dying, and she still is protecting all that she loves, for she can not take telling them she is to die… but she has chosen me to help guide. I am coward in comparison to this great soul that has graced my life with her presence. For she still runs to all in need.. she is a true everyday hero.

She is my everyday hero… Nadeen…
