Isn't your question like asking whether or not one would like to be the most successful scientist in the world, or get mad cow disease?
I fail to see the relevance whatsoever between being down-to-earth and looks.(unless taken in an abstract fashion, touching on earth-tone colors) That being said, many women do like one who is down-to-earth.. however, that will only go so far. Being such doesn't make you exempt from any other expectations they may or may not have.
Can I ask what you're trying to figure out by asking this? After shredding the question analytically in my head I can't see where you were trying to go with this with any certain degree of probability, and I'm quite curious.
I love a man for what he is... not what he looks like. I look at whats inside. If he treats me with respect and he's not a liar or a cheat then he's good in my book. But, he also has to love me for what I am too. It takes two to make a relationship work.

THE GUY THAT CAN MAKE ME LAUGH, I DON'T CARE ABOUT HIS MONEY SITUATION. I WOULD NEVER WANY A SNOBBY, RICH PRINCE OF THE FROGS, I WOULD RATHER THE POOR WITH AN ACTUAL LOVE FOR LIFE. LOVE IS RICHER THAN MONEY.
