Around here, it's "raise it yourself". I have free range chickens who give me wondeful eggs and I raise turkeys. In Maine, there are many farms who sell organic meat and vegetables. The prices are higher than non-organic products. For livestock, the organic feed is expensive, hence the higher meat prices. Long winded reply, but this is an interest of mine :)
i think that is to cool living in an area that you have free range yard buzzards and all.Thats the way it used to be in the old days, the cows would just wander and eat what they found and it was good meat.
I love my free range chickens, and their bright orange yolks - YUM! My daughter loves them so much I have to sneak one into the pot now and then, but no complaints when it's on the table! Sorry tenderhearts, I am a farmer. To answer your question, you can slide up to my table for organic food almost every day. But I don't have a clue where you'll find it in a restaurant. Would you trust them if they told you it was?
