I am in need of help,I need to know if there are any festivities during july or august there? I am basing my trip there on it and someone from bristol told me there were none and an irishman I used to talk to told me there were,need help with info here please.thank you.

Off the bat, in Galway you have the Arts festival and Race Week the last 2 weeks in July. Kerry hosts the Rose of Tralee in late August; book rooms yesterday for these areas.

Horse racing.

It is Ireland's biggest horse racing meeting by a long way. Over 200,000 attend the meeting and is one thing you really ought to do when you are over here. You will love it, for sure.

rolling on the floor laughing nah, but there is v8 tractors going head to head at the ploughing championships in september.

if your a fan of irish music there is many regional fleadh cheoils going on throughout the country during july and august, but the national fleadh ceoil is in tullamore, co. offaly on 22nd - 24th august..
me being 30 mins away from tullamore i can tell you there is 2 hotels there and they will be pretty much booked otherwise there is nowhere.. you might aswell just stay with us at the pig farm!

laugh Thanks for the invite but I don't get along with live pigs,they scare me a bit,I figured I could hear live irish music in about anywhere there,guess I was wrong will look for things to do closer to where I am going,thank you.handshake

It isn't like there's a county fair or a pig pickin'. We don't need an excuse to get pissed.

To be fair in the summer, most try to get over to Spain or Portugal.

I had planned on getting pissed but an irishman told me there were festivities in july/august that is why I set that date,looks like a no show though so will reconsider,and thanks for the advice?laugh cool

well I thank you so kindly W for the invite to spend my money but I was wanting to do more than get pi$$ed,that is ok though,will visit a couple of the counties including where a castle remains of my ancestors and probaby stay in england longer than was expected,maybe they have something going on in may perhaps,see you in the word gamehead banger

Heyyyy need to know how food fares are there, how much is it to go to your local mcDonalds? going to the grocery store how much does it take money wise to feed one person per day kind of thing, please I need info, and cheap bed and breakfasts in kerry county that anyone knows of and what is the nearest airport to county kerry?
