I'm with Vonney on this one, if any of us had the answers we wouldn't be here. I suppose all us women want are all the usual characteristics , such as a man being kind, considerate, respectful, loyal, good company and a stud in the bedroom, but hey I'm a realist and realise I wont get all those in one man, so i'm willing to settle for at least half of them

Well i think you just answered your own question there, well at least the reverse of it, not "what should he do to find her or keep her? " but rather "what shouldn't he do if he wants to find her or keep her"..
Maybe you should read this whole thread back to yourself tomorrow and have a bit of a re think...well you did ask for honesty.
Relationships are complicated at the best of times and it's old news that men and women are different, we just need to understand those differences and work on them when the bad times hit and try our damedest to overcome them, instead of sticking to our guns, in the name of pride. Because the fall that pride comes before is a bloody long way and boy does it hurt...
okay- back on track here- I think there's a lot to be said for not really looking. after all- how many relationships develop form just chatting to the first person you meet in the pub/club/supermarket??
i've met someone recently- a friends brother who didn't realise i was separated. who knows how far it will go? but i'm having fun and getting out with someone that will actually converse with me-
don't like the pub/club search myself, so i suppose we have to get ourselves out there, meeting friends that have friends, or joining gyms, book clubs or whatever you enjoy= just exposes you to more potential partners

You HAVE to be yourself. Trying too hard is impossible to sustain for very long and will drive you bonkers in the long run. I think that it happens in a lot of relationships. People try too hard to be something they are not but think they want to be and unable to sustain the illusion, they become angry with their partner (who never asked them to pretend in the first place) and breaks up the relationship. Most people dont do this on purpose. It usually happens when they dont know themselves very well anyway.

well all i can tell you dude is .... i treat every woman i talk to as if they are special , and each one is special in there own way,,, remember dude,.... looks have a time period , but the heart never does, look at beauty from the inside out and you will never be single

so you want to be noticed int he first place eh? I find that if a guy just smiles at me i will notice him. and if he opens a door even better! so for eg if you fancuy some girl who you may pass on the stree treguarly smile, then gradually a hi, etcetc...
Online here i have found that one guy I 'chatted' (IM) to was so easy to talk to . we chattted for 5 hours! good luck
