I was wondering if you have any scars? If you do:do you show them off or keep them hidden and why.

i have a mad scar!

Bout 6inces long 4 inches wide. Got it when i raced Bikes back in the Uk. I had a compound tib fib (lower leg) It req a skin graft and a titanium plate (2 inches) bolted on. I show it off kinda like a battle scar. Had to learn to walk again, that sucked.

My Goodness Unlucky. That's a scar worth showing off.

The reason I asked this question is because I am covered with them from several surgeries due to kidney stones. The scars aren't large but are everywhere on my back and stomach. I also had a kidney removed through my bellybutton and it left the largest incision(sp?)on my body. I am always working without a shirt but have just recently began to think that people are treating me differently because of the scars.

It's like before they know about the scars they would say anything, afterwards they are very careful with what they say. Just differently!

i kinda get the same feeling in a way! But i think its the story that goes with it that freaks people out more than the scar. I get the feeling they think i am just plain stupid or crazy. lol

Whiteknight, most people overlook the scars, believe me! I think if it does cross their minds it is how they got there and it's more sympathetic. I know people with scars and was amazed after knowing them for so long that I hadn't noticed them or they have scars and after seeing them initially I don't seem to notice. Don't let this keep you from feeling like a complete person. Scars are nothing to be ashamed of.

WK\unless you have another head growing out the side of your neck,i wouldn't worry about it.
there may be a few immature adults, but most women believe it or not don't pay it no mind, and you can take it from a guy with visuable scars.

I'm with you ODM, mine tell a story also, lol
and yes lionheart, stretch marks forget about those, see WK there’s not to many women out there who don't have them on their body, woman understand scars better then men .
So show your scars dude, and a couple of facial scars gives a man integrity but i wouldn't go hacking my face up if I was you,lol
