I have started recently using the IE Forums, I always use chat and I like the rest enjoy healthy debate and maybe the odd spat.

I am not an innocent bystander in any of this. I will be the first to hold my hand up and say I have started and got involved in arguments here. I am not here to insult, belittle, or in any other way hurt another person. I am here to make friends, possible get a few dates, and pass a few hours during the day catching up with people. . . . .

Seen as it's Sunday and everybody will be more chilled out I will ask everyone to sit back and take a minute to remember every person on this site is here for the same reason and we shouldn't really be arguing over the stupidest or things. . . . . It's depressing enough in this country now, people losing there jobs the economy buckling in on its self, not knowing if the mortgage will get paid, hoping you have enough to clear your bills. It'd be so much better if in here was light hearted people were allowed to express their views and others were allowed to responded and not have to worry about what the out come would be eg, will they be insulted or will they gang up on me if I do not conform and agree with their point of view....

All I am saying is let poeple be who they are and have their opinions they are intitled to that at least.

wave It is sad to see a lot of relay nice CS members leaving
I myself am only here a short while and have been made very welcome by all… both male and female …were has all the laughs, wit.banter, and good crack gone …
Most on here are here to make friends…… Like in the real world not all will get on or be compatible or agree with one another but that’s life…

People have left because others have a problem with them having friends and saying things like "hallo how are you" "Any news" etc.

If you dont stick to the subject, they will have a fit.

Myself, i wont be dragged into an argument, i say what i think and thats it, some people want a response as they love a good argument, it kinda makes them feel good i suppose.

I refuse to be dragged into pointless argument any more.
If someone gets insulting or aggressive I will just ignore them.

I am here to have a chat with friends, old and new, and that is all I will do.

I will not sit idly by and watch the 'clique' disassemble new members anymore. You lot have no right to do that, this is a PUBLIC site not your private little gossip column where you can decide to gang up on members and run them off. If a new member does not feel welcome then jumping on their backs shouting how friendly you lot really are and how wrong they are is not going to make them feel welcome. Anyone that wants to crucify newbees can expect the same in return. EOF.

Im just going to comment directly on one of the points you have made over the last few days.
The incident in question that you mentioned related to a new Irish female who didnt know her way around the various forums she posted a hello on the international forums where alot of people from various countries greeted the person but as "most" of the Irish people only use the Irish forums they didnt say hello, then the same person posted up the thread she did on the Irish forums at which point most Irish posters defended themselves because they had not seen the original posting on the international side. I think the original poster went onto the Irish site guns blazzing not realising there were 2 sets of forums and 2 groups of people posting but the issue was resolved when the mistake on all parties OP and others were made aware of the full story and the OP did agree. Thats all I have to say on the matter.

All true ladylumps and that is the incident I was referring to when I received similar treatment because it was assumed I was referring to yet another similar incident the night before. ALL these incidents have one or two people in common and Im not one of them. See the problem? The same few members make a habit of this.
The lady you refer to was at the time a newbee and as such I feel deserved a bit more understanding than she got, we were all new to this at some time or another.
You have an opinion on this so you posted, was there any rudeness or demands made in your post? Was it anyway belittling? No so why cant other express themselves like you? The original poster didnt need or deserve the response she got by member x and backed up by member y, yesterday if you check the threads it was also member x and y that decided to put me in my place and as coincidence would have it the night before the same people were involved. So the incident you speak of isnt a once of, its being going on for a while now. Hopefully yesterday was the end of it.

thumbs up very well said, candy,,,,have been away for a few days,,,so just kind of gathering between the threads wot has been happening. All i will say,,we all have been newbies at one stage on cs.and personally speaking,i have been made more than welcomed on the threads,,,and because of this,,hve made some good friends on it,,,and people who i value and respect.I think its easy to say this and that,,,but at end of day,we r all adults,,,and are all here as you say for the same thing,,and its sad to see people leave because of the childishness of others,,,but hopefully in time,,they will come back,,as they will be badly missed,,,,and they do have good friends here, who know them for the people they are. What does it matter, what others think,,i mean people that you don,t know,r who r not involved in your life, personally,,they r just ones at the end of a pc,,with opinions, etc,,they r not in your every day life,,so let them have their opinions,,whether rite r wrong,,sure ,be a boring world if we all the same,,and thank god we aint!doh So come back soon,,,the members that have left, and be a bigger person, than the person starting the problemyay teddybear
