Congrats! I myself try to stick closer to my age but I would much prefer to go younger than older. When guys start getting aroung 30 they are better candidates I feel. I know a lot of women like the older guys because of the stability but I just can't seem to go very much older than myself for some reason. I guess I am not attracted to feeling like I'm going out with my dad, LOL

Age is the problem with finding the last love of my life. I live with three beliefs in my life, and two are pertinent to this discussion.
1. "Age is just a number, not a way of life". I have found woman my age and older, have slowed down more than I have, I am 62. I refuse to live the life I have seen others of my age do. When they retire, they tend to slow down, because they feel they have worked so long for just that. Then they die shortly after retiring. Attitude has more to do with age than anything. I have come across many woman younger than myself, that live as if they have one foot in the grave.
2. "The only thing we are guaranteed after we are born, is that we are going to die". I got this from my grandfather, who by the way was Cherokee, and died in 1957, at the age of 110. I find this to be a true statement. Any one that lives life like they are going to live forever, is denying themselves a full life. They think they have time to take it easy, and set boundaries, that exclude someone that they would ordinarily say they are looking for.
I once wanted to get to know a very attractive woman of 30, and I was only 40 at the time. She made the following statement to me, as to why she was not interested. She said,"You are too old for me, you will most likely die before I do, and I want a man that will be around when I am old and gray". Believe me that is her exact words, and they have stuck with me always, as three days later, she was killed in a car accident.
I would look at any age from 21 to 70, but look at each for their lifestyle, beliefs, attitudes, and how they would like to be percieved.
I see the words "openminded" in so many profiles, and it has been frustrating. When I contact these women, they either do not respond, or respond with I am too old for them. The will also respond with a statement that is obviously a lie. "I have found someone already". Give me a break ladies, if you found someone, why are you on line answering me.

I hear that girl, life is a constant learning process.
Some learn, and some just get learned.
They drink the lessons like water and then piss it out

What a waste of their time!

Lol!!

I have had 2 husbands - one a couple of years older and one 6 1/2 years younger. Neither marriage worked out! I don't think age is as important when you get to be as old as I am. (Yes, there probably is dirt younger!) Anyway, I wouldn't/couldn't go out with someone young enough to be my son. But, I am often attracted to younger men. Maybe it is because I refuse to think of myself as being as old as I am and because I refuse to act my age. LOL!

Hey I'm 64 and sometimes I forget that I'm not in my 40's.
I might go for someone who was a few years younger than me but not over 5 years older than me. LOL
