I was just wondering if anybody else has started suffering from dyslexia since they started using the internet/computer/mobile phone.
I have noticed my own spelling is terrible I am gone so used to spell check doing it for me that I am just putting down the closest thing to it and then changing it to what I am told by the computer.
It's even worse on my phone, everything (even stuff dat makes sense only to me) is shortened down examples are idk=I dont care, wat=what, dat=that..........
I am bringing this up because I have a 5-year-old daughter who as it is has started using the computer as part of her school curriculum. Will she like me become too lazy to learn how to spell correctly? I really don’t want this to happen but I don’t know how to change it is it going to be a case of “do as I say but not as I do”. In an age where technology is a big part of our every day living are we loosing touch with our most basic learning skills?
(Yes I put this into a blank word document to check my spelling before posting it)…
