i just did tonite,,when i say i was going to dublin,,,and was ask why,,so i say and was honest,,with a family member,though pointed out to her,,you can go out every w,e r every other w,e and meet someone,when your full of drink,,and remember not even the persons,name,as she had told me,,where as the net,,u have the advantage,,of getting to know,,the person(or u get to know,,and remember,,what the person has told you)and also i have met some good friends on the net,,even in chat before this site,,whom i still meet up for gurlie nites,,and being honest,,some of them has been more real in the friends i have met,,in daily life,,,,so why do people judge the net,,when at the end of the day we r all the same,,and human beings at the end of the day?

I totally agree with u. In person u can make up lies, but on the net time passes and ppl suss who the liars r!!

Yes, but on the net, people can drag things out for ages, whereas in real-life, you're more likely to get get a quick yes/no...

i think online is great way to meet ple i met lot of great ple hee and elsewhere online and consider them lifetime friends even if in different countries

I think the whole internet is still very new and unknown to alot of people and I think its the fear of the unknow that makes people laugh at it. Years ago people had pen pals you would send off your form with your fee and list of interests and they would send you back the details of someone with similar interests and the letters would be exchanged, I think these sites are something similar but have changed with the times and are the modern version of penpals. To the people that knock what we do and the friends you can make I would ask have you tried it?? There are just as many weirdos out there in the real world as there are on the internet but I do think you can suss them out quicker on the net. JMO
