Well I have known I had diabetes for about four years or so however I was always borderline. Last year my overall came back as 8.6 well I thought it was still o.k. but dr wanted me to start medication, I did not now here is the punch line my sugars are not coming below fifteen and average around nineteen so I finally allowd him to start medication. I do not exercise hardly at all but need to start slowly. I am now off work for a month tonight I am 23.3 never ate anything to make it that high so I figure it will take awhile to regulate. I know alot about diabetes and diet as I train others at work on the subject. I hope things come down soon I have felt terrible for awhile excessive thirst, lathargic, no energy. I now know why I should of been testing all along and was not. Just curious to find out other peoples stories, both my parents started out with medications and eventually ended up on needles so I guess the odds are stacked against me.

well if you don't mind...... may i make a suggestion ?
I have several friends borderline and i have put them on a plan that so far seems really great, especially if you have it in the family with high risk....

it is not the most pleasant regime but it helps alot.
If any of you have a local Traditional Doctor of Chinese Medicine or a China town in your city I suggest you go to him or her and explain the problem and the specific circumstances. They will most likely make you a special mixture of herbs that you must prepare as a tea.

IT TASTES HORRIFIC!!! but if used with the right diet and exercise can prevent the necessity for medication.
sometimes it has been known to balance the system for long periods years without the need to keep drinking the tea, but still maintaining the diet and exercise.

the tea is made differently for each individual whereas the meds are the same for all which denies the unique chemistry of each person. it cannot harm and is extremely effective!!! good luck & strength to you all

I'm not boardline but I do have high blood sugars which 15 is very low for andone to have. Or are you meaning 1500?blood sugars should be in the low to mid hundred. I found out in 2003 that I was a daibetic. I found out that my daibeties are cause from having Renal Tubular Acidosis, type 4.
