In response to: or have the Canadian forums actually died. Yeah, its summer,..we all should be outside doing stuff,...but lord,...
I have been here on the forums for about 3 months now and have not seen very much posting into the Can. forums. I think some of us must find some interesting threads to talk about and see if we can bring some of our members out of the wood work.LOL

KHD100: It happens every year at this time ... but like a bad habit they will return
And I should now that,...
I guess I should try to see if I can get some lawn cut today before it rains again! Or maybe slide into St. Albert and go roller-blading in the Wal-Mart (hey kids,...do not try this without getting your parents permission first@!!)

... Alberta Edmucational System ?!?! ... hell they would not have noticed the spelling mistake and would have corrected a properly spelled word to a wrong spelling.

Nice to meet you Kenn! So how are things down there in corn country! (So really, is it true that you fertilize the corn down there with cocaine? Every year I swear I am not going to be lured into a roadside stand offering Taber corn,...so far that hasn't worked! )
Interesting threads might work, yet, I am often surprised at how often I see a thread started, and it builds up many, many views, and the "reply" counter remains fixed at zero, or at best, single digits!

Nice to meet you as well. Due to the rain down here most of the crops have had a slow start. Now what we need is lots of sunshine and warm weather. I am sure that the corn will be ready in time for our annual Cornfest in the latter part of August. The Cornfest has become a big event for the town of Taber and seems to get better every year. It does attract people from all over and certainly does provide a big boost for the local economy. They had to stop using cocaine for fertilizer as the extra security was too costly for the farmers.(Gov. refused to subsidise for it,LOL.)

Some of the best corn I ever had was when I was in Williams Lake and we drove out to a farmer's field and picked it fresh. So YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY
Yes, there is good corn everywhere. Taber has done a very good job at marketing thier corn. We have a 15 foot corn statue at our town civic centre, if i can figure out how to post pics., I will post a pic of it.
