mice or rodent problems (6)

Should you have problems with rodents in fields or gardens or houses, use peppermint.
Plant it in the borders around the house, or put fresh peppermint in the house where you think the mice may be getting in...

it works

Have you tried this?

I guess it depends on the rodents.

But most live under ground, and Mint doesnt have its roots very deep,- so I wonder how this is works..

....Well,I should think the roots do not matter at all....You want to stop them coming in the smell of the mint leaves would be what works.......thumbs up

Does this work for Rats as well ? I have a cottage type garden and live in a cottage, I was horrified to see yet another large reet very near to my bedroom window yesterday, I have laid poison and feel bad about this but they're so dangerous and I'm wondering what is attracting them this time of year [end of June].
I have grass between my Beds and am wondering would paving stones or just stones over Screed be better at deterring them ? I live somewhat near a river [across the road] and I think this is where theyre coming from. Thanks

Yes, your rats are migrating from the river for the food in your garden ...in the winter they will migrate to your place for shelter when they get flooded out ...you have to kill them uh oh
