how i'm trying so hard
tonight
to just keep holding
on
to the promise of her warm and loving
arm's
of heaven's gentle healing
loam
to just keep myself
here
a little while longer
amongst
the living
praying
for a real - N - lasting
home
even though the
pain
from deep down - N -
side
my lonely ol' spirit is just so damn
unrelenting
for i am nothing more
then
an instrument of foolish
design
i am just an old drunken
poet
full my soul with tormented
rhymes
i know every meaning
and
tiniest nuance of the word
loneliness
for with an forlorned branding
iron
it's burned eternally
across
my empty weakened
vessel
from within my unloved
heart
life's internal pain is forever there
nestled
