I love sesame. Its healthy, rich in calcium and good quality fats, as well as other acids which are great for the system.. but I forget why.

I fisrt came across sesame as a child on holiday in Greece, where we used to buy these bars of honeyed sesame.. mm
I already loved those, even though hey were a bit "different" from Swiss food..

And now I love ground sesame and salt sprinkled on food, sesame paste to make tahini, or the japanese way of mixing ground sesame into boiled spinach.
Incidentally they also use black sesame sprinkled on white sticky rice..

How do you use sesame? please tell me!

When I make oriental salad with greens, mandarin oranges, chicken, etc, I use sesame seed dressing on it and sprinkle it with extra sesame seeds.

When I make a stirfry, I use part olive oil and a little sesame oil. Then when stirfry is done, I put more sesame seed oil on it, along with oyster sauce. Yum

Greek style spinach and feta pastry.

I put ricotta in there too along with garlic and lemon zest and onion.

tassells mash 10 stoned dates add egg cup tahini light mix well and form into a dough , roll out and pinch inch size pieces from it and form into little balls then roll the balls into sesame seeds, these are 100% NATURAL SWEETS for kids or adult parties

Mmmm! Wow June! they sound delicious! I adore dried dates and often use them in recipes to replace other sugar.

I'll definitely try that!
