I like this album for many reasons.The musicianship is excellent,the lyrics are intelligent and deep,the album itself is a tribute to former member and founder Syd Barret(R.I.P.)And this is also my fathers favourite album so it has some sentimental value for me.My favourite song is "shine on you crazy diamond pts 1-5).It could be called alternative or "space rock" but i just call it rock n roll.I first found out about the album from my father.I reckon i was teething the first time i heard it.The title track itself "wish you were here" anybody could like as its very soft and melodic,but the rest of the album is more suited to people who enjoy intricate intelligent music and of course fans of acid and other hallucinagens!!!!There is no other band to my knowledge that sound remotely like pink floyd.Although the album only has five tracks its still as long as most albums.
