plato's touch

Plato’s Touch

So close,so distant
Her mesmerizing eyes opaque windows
Too frosted for love
To find a way in
Or out
Windows looking into a tormented soul
Rocked about in a raging storm

My few moments with you
have beenValhalla
A short Indian summer
In a cold wet December
Hints of a blazing sun
In a heavy gloomy sky
The promise of a silver lining
At the edge of my dark cloud
Raised hopes of finding
The legendary pot of gold
At the edge of Venus’ rainbow

Her smile works magic
I feel my soul rising when I am with her
Like nature revived on Spring’s arrival
A bear aroused after Winter’s slumber
The coldest ice thawing under her gaze
Forming a lifegiving stream
From which my parched spirit drinks
So close,so distant
So near,so far
