While You Slept

While you slept, I could still hear myself call your name.

While you slept, I knew nothing would change.

So I walked around the house thinking, why not me?

While you slept, I called her phone.

While you slept, We discussed my pain.

While you slept, fire burned in my brain.

While you slept, I packed your clothes.

While you slept, I decided I would rather be alone.
