I sit alone by the phone remembering When you used to call Your fireside chair is empty The shawows of the flames Dancing on the wall Once you said you'd never leave me But God called Now I gaze into the fire The flames flicker by night While I sit on my fireside chair Writing you this note Your gentle hand embracing me By day and by night Oh I remember you When we first met Many years ago We actually got into a fight Now I look at your empty fireside chair And there is no one about The fire is a great comfort Especially at night I will keep our memories burning Your fireside chair is waiting For your spirit to return Oh darling I loved you You were my number one The flames are flickering Time for you to return Darling Husband what has God done Taken you away from me From your fireside chair
our memories have but one enemy Alzheimer's Sometimes they are all we have and maybe that's enough Loose your memory that's it. Cosey! picture your poem. Nice.
