My Friend Gone But Not Forgotten

As I sit here tears are flowing from eyes
eyes that was once filled with admiration for you as I watched you become a great woman

A woman full of grace and knowledge and wisdom and intelligence none other I knew could compare

Your love was so rare
Dogs, old people and the ocean were your delight

You were a friend at all times, a giver and so full of life

We were always there for each other, we shared secrets, we struggle
You always knew how to make me laugh

I never realized how much darkness surrounded you

I am sorry that I wasn't there to help you at this time

Life will never be the same without you

Everywhere I go I am reminded of you
We had a friendship that goes on...Your spirit will always

be felt because of all the memories

About this poem:
This poem is about a friend of mine who was in so much pain...pain no one discerned. She must have felt so hopeless.
