Well, intelligence certainly is not the only thing I look for. But let's be honest here. If you had a choice to date a person who was dumb as a box of rocks (politically correct term, I suppose is brain-challenged) or a highly-intelligent woman, which one would most of us choose? Personally, I would pick the smart one. It's easier and a lot less work to be with a smart person, because you don't have to keep explaining things over and over again. The smart person just knows right off the bat what you are talking about as soon as you mention it.

I find intelligence, as regards the ability to discuss many things with my partner a great turn on. I find it stimulating to be able to be with someone who has common sense and intelligence; I dont care if its qualifications on paper or not - as long as that person is able to discuss and converse on many subjects.

I have a young girl working with me at the moment she is just finishing 6 years study at Uni and she is enjoyable to have a decent conversation with I have worked with some thick people in my time so this is a nice change.
