Redex: No I did understand you but had heard sometimes long time sentence could be served in own Country. I do not think that will happen this time though.
Morning Redex NO that does not happen, if the crime is committed in another country they serve the time in that country. When completed its usually deportation. In this case its death. So its fair a sentence of death for a murderer as that is what Drug Trafficers are. I have no real feelings for this kind of crime. It just turns my stomach. Watching Trevor on the death row in the states last night was something an eye opener.

Yes it can happen depending on the country sentencing.
well it has left the news now. I just wonder if our government is fighting for her or leaving her to her fate. I still must admit she in prison will suffer every grain of the stuff before it hit the streets. I wonder if she had done it before

Morning Redex This is a valid question Did she do it before and for how long. This is something those countries look for. They are not stupid they either were tipped off or they noticed something. However, I have my money on her being executed. The UK will will leave her to her fate now. I doubt if she will get any further assistance. Personally if it were me, I would give her drugs and let her die from them as she is in my books a Murderer indirectly.

Short and Pertinent Extract. Yesterday an expert on the Bali crime scene said Sandiford was a 'familiar face' in the local drug world and mad repeated trips from India smuggling hashish. Kathryn Bonella, author of the book Snowing in Bali, about the island's criminal underworld, said Sandiford would fly in from Britain via India.
Speaking to the Times she said: 'She used to bring in from India and sell it to one of my contacts, but had recently moved into cocaine. 'I know a number of big western drugs dealers who fled the island when they found out she had been busted and was turning rat.' Sandiford's appeal is expected to launch within seven days. It could drag through the courts for years and throughout that time she knows the death sentence will still hang over her and could finally be carried out. IMO If those comments can be substantiated as facts it seems she would have known the consequences could be the death sentence.
I still hold to the same opinion
I see the UK flag has been removed from the emoticoms, so Rule Britannia
Sail I think I leave it to the country were she is in. I will never agree to taking a life as punishment. Harder punishment to sit in a jail for years over there, not a short quick exsist so to speak. Taking a life just brings you down to same level as these people.

Agreed.Baying for someone's blood solves nothing.
Don't think they will execute her as Bali rely's on tourism and some people may be put off by this decision.
If the appeal goes through they can go to the Supreme Court in Jakarta.
The British government is against ANY death penalty so probably will get involved ,as has Reprieve, an organisation which is supporting her now.
Rotting in a disease ridden and corrupt jail would be a fate far worse than death anyway.
I think it was pretty obvious if ANYONE wins ANY sport (swimming, cycling, running, etc.) back to back for 3 years plus, then they should be tested for drugs! Just my opinion! So blame it on the officials! There is no telling if he was using drugs since day one of his competing days. I say just strip him of his trophies that he admitted to using drugs during and band him for like a year or so for competing and then let him back (but test him). Yes, drug testing is expensive but that's why there are sponsors, officials, etc.

Sorry you can not blame HIS drug taking on the officials, he took it. You can blame officials for not finding out. He only admitted to it all thinking his ban would be shortened and he could race again. I feel sorry for the racers that were not drug takers and could have been placed with hard work not pills

What I meant was that the prison she will end up is a hell hole compared to Holloway.
Can't imagine they will let her serve her sentence in a British prison when the crime was committed in Bali!
