This was a case of a congressman showing his true colors. Screw the apology, he screwed up. But you know what, even though he was completely in the wrong, the Republicans of Staten Island are going to hold on to him anyway. If it was a Dem they would have gone nuts and cry for him to resign.

He's a public figure. He's supposed to hold his temper when in the public eye or when a camera is on him. After that he can swear and threaten all he wants when he's in the bathroom.
He didn't like it that the reporter questioned him on the investigation about campaign funds.
Perhaps he has a reason to freak out.
