Where I am it's probably almost the biggest part of business. If me and the guys I work with just up and left, transplanted ourselves in a similar area that required our services, we would starve to death PDQ. A friend of mine owns a cab company and he figures he could sell it for a hundred grand. All it is is five old gas guzzler cars, a name and a phone number.
Social capital is so important that a successful company, once they lose a key salesman or operations manager, can see their sales plummet to levels where they may as well start over.
