lol, i think its do you think its a good idea or not? anyway, yes cos they can phone if in trouble etc, but credit limit is necc then i guess. my neice is 910, has one but only uses it to call her daddy ( seperated family) or if , for eg, misses the schol bus or something, is nice, so cutte when you text her, get things like- " i miss you and want ot see you soon" ahhh------ This poll is Archived ------

well my daugher is only 2 so i dnt think she will begettin a phone
if and when she does she will have to earn it,which means when she gets her own job or saves for it,

i dont agree although yes there good for saftey, id prefer my child to be at least 12 or 13, i think its somethin u should be rewareded or earned not just givin, with a phone comes responibilites, and i dont thik any child should have one they could txt wrong numbers bla bla bla JMO

yea i can see your side as well modern fairy i see my nieces ring me and text me their 7 and 6 years of age and they dont realise their doing it or who their sending a message then it not the next day i talk to the their father the next day did you text me and what did you want

My rule was that my kids could get one when they were starting secondary school. The youngest cute madam that she is went whinging to Daddy and got one at ten lol. I refused to get her credit until she was 12.
I put 20 euro a month into their phones so they get free calls to my phone and can get me anytime. I they go over that they have to get it out of their pocket money (which they earn).
It is handy to be able to keep on touch with them but can be a bloody nuisance as I cant be gone for 5 minutes without a text lol.

There is a new one designed just for kids that wont allow them to tx or download and the parents have control over what numbers are programmed into the phone and they cant ring or receive any numbers that arent stored in it.

i dont think kids of that age should have mobiles ..mine were 13 before they were allowed mobiles.i've seen kids as young as 6 with them .

your right about this.its like alot of parents now say yes to their kids ,nothing wrong with saying no to them once in awhile.
