mnowsa: Let us just say that i have starved, been sick, no place to stay for a long period of time. then add it to the fact that i live in the south, i am a muslim and i am not a white. so i get threat from our neighbors to move out of the neighborhood..then of course there is name calling and racial slur because of the horrific incident of septeber 11
And add it to the fact that i am all alone here by myself. nice, eh?

.........Really sorry hear that my Friend....I have some very close Muslim friends and they are awesome and decent humble people who I consider a honor and a privilege to welcome me and my family as Close Friends....

But, no, i am not complaining at all! i just want you to know that there are many many millions of people in the world who are in such dire stress and horrible condition that our problems will pale in comarison to theirs any day, any hour, and any minute.
There are good and bad people from all religions, races and cultures........ we meet people as individuals and should judge them as individuals and not as stereotypes.
RobertC2: There are good and bad people from all religions, races and cultures........ we meet people as individuals and should judge them as individuals and not as stereotypes.
Again, not to make you feel even worse, i will share some of the horrible condition that are prevailing in this world. Before a few years, i saw a documentary (not sure exactl where i saw it) where an african mother is waiting for her death. she had 3 children, all of them are in the age range of 3 to 7, crying in the deathbed of their mother. they hadn't eaten anything for a few days. she had HIV AIDS. all of them were living in a cottage not more than 4x4 feet made of only some tree leaves. The mother was showing how she made some dolls for her children so that they could remember their mother after she was dead.

As a kid I lived in Africa and India.
I saw people left dead on the street.
I was horrified and overcome with guilt that I was not starving through no fault of my own.
That horror stays with me to this day, but i also saw happy poor people who worked hard and were happy and had good hearts....... and the human spirit CAN overcome terrible suffering.
However, that one child can be born into abject poverty and disease and another into luxury is so very unfair....... I guess we just have to accept our blessings and help others less fortunate who we meet on our journey through life.
I do NOT personally help people who live thousands of miles away.
I believe in what Jesus said even if I am not a Christian.
'Love thy neighbour as thyself'
If we ALL looked after our neighbours the love would eventually spread round the whole world....... it is not, however, our responibility as individuals to try and help everybody (in my opinion).
We, as individuals, can help our neighbours.
Local governments can help neighbouring governments/communities.
thanks robert..thanks virgo...i hope i didn't spoil the good time for you. But i just wanted to say that we should be very happy no matter what because we are in a far better situaion than many many millions of people in the world
I'm single because I'm too independent, a bit stubborn, I tend to intimidate, a bit demanding, somewhat picky, sometimes a loner, a bit set in my ways...okay, I better stop now or I might as well delete my profile
