I'm just wondering, because when I was in kindergarden my teach told my mom that I was too small and fragile to move on to the next grade....my mom told her heck no and we moved to a new school.
I wanna hear your input, because I think that disabilities shouldnt interfere with education...
LovelySerene: no actually, my mom made sure I went to the next grade, but I guess you're right, I should have mentioned 'Physical' disabilities
Okay, you sound pretty mad. You were NOT held back even though you had physical disabilities and you THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Am I reading that right? You would be the total first person I ever heard felt this way.
Please advise. You must have left something out of the story. I am all ears....

no...I'm not mad, I'm just bad at explaining some things...I'm glad that my mom made sure I passed. I just wonder if others would do the same thing that my mom did, or not. I'm sorry...

Cool. I think it is wonderful that your mom was there for you and made you pass. It only will make you stonger in everything you do in life because now for sure you know you can do it! Rock on LovelySerene! K
PS-I think all loving parents would do the same for their kids! I know I would :)
No i don't, i worked for many years with people with Special Needs, and if a child is able to fit into mainstream education with their peers, even if support is required it helps to build self esteem an confidence.
Know this is slightly different but, but too often a persons disabilities become the focual point, instead of concentrating on on their strengths.
