I am beginning to think Arnold is getting a little to power hungry and not only trying to be a little dictator of California, but of his wife and family as well.

Read news story about him saying he will take swift action against his wife for her using a cell phone while driving.

Now, any man who thinks he can control his wife has another thing coming, which is usually divorce papers. Arnold is making up a few laws that people just cannot live by, for instance not using a cell phone while driving, in fact many police officers use cell phones while driving because they communicate with their family as well and use the phone during certain situations as well, perhaps talking to another investigating detective. People in general need the phone for business, in which business is on going all day and when you are driving and you have an important call that could make a sale, you want to take the call. Now sure we can use hands free speaker systems in our cars, but if we are not using our own car at the time, we have to use a cell phone and which you cannot just pull off the roads because some roads do not have areas to pull off, so you have to answer and at least say you will call them back or take the call on the spot if they can't wait to talk to you. Now, there is the same risk of using a cell phone as putting a CD in your radio to play. Your attention is instantly away from the main road for a second, but if you are fumbling around the floor for a CD or Gum you dropped you are more likely to cause an accident than with a cell phone. At least with the cell phone your eyes are on the road. That is my argument for that anyway.

Now, as for Arnold heckling his wife about the cell phone, what do you think she told him? Probably for him to shut up most likely. haha

Well Arnold has now officially got his new ammo law passed that prevents anyone from buying ammo unless they have given their fingerprints and background information to just buy ammo. This is stupid because they will just go to another state to buy ammo and buy it by the cases and then drive back to California. It was a useless law that will only make ammo sales drop to nothing in California and thus is less money being spent in California.
California has a large number of gun owners, but you will see also a large amount of them going out of state to buy their ammo.
Guns are cheaper out of state as well. But if Arnold keeps up his frequent bill passing of useless laws and laws that infringe on Freedom of Americans, you will see more Californians moving to another state as well.

Glad I don't live there or I would have moved already.

It's really not all that difficult!
I do not use speaker phone.
I am a truck driver and have used cell phones for over 15 years.

They have headsets which plug into your phone and use the speaker in the ear.

Talking while driving has never been a hindrance to me.
I do believe in keeping both hands on the wheel!!!

Some of us are quite good at multi-tasking!!!grin

If you don't have one, get an earpiece. Cost $10 to $20.

It takes more than just a State Governor to get a state law passed... apparently alot of the legislaters in California must have agreed to pass that law on ammunition, silly though it sounds.

And as you said, people will just drive to neighboring states to purchase ammo in bulk, so nothing is really accomplished by that law anyhows... ergo, why stress over it?

If California voters don't like it, they know how to vote against all encumbants and replace them. dunno

I'm pretty sure all the states need a complete replacement of their elected officials... everytime anybody get's a boo-boo, the blasted state legislature's rush to pass a law to make something else illegal!

How about requiring all laws to have expiration dates, such that they have to be renewed every so many years... give the elected officials something to do besides think up new ways to micro-manage the citizens lives! That really is the underlying problem you know, every politician wants to introduce a new bill to become law that makes something illegal so they can claim they DID something during their term in office as justification for asking to be re-elected! mumbling

Eventually the current system of adding laws on top of laws is going to lead to anarchy. You cannot micro-manage life for Pete's Sake!

There are many Cities in my state that have passed the pullover to talk on the Cell Law.

As for Gov Swartznegger being too controling of his Family, He always was.

Around the time their engagement was announced, years ago, a Reporter asked him about Women wearing Pants. He said that there were two women in his life that knew better than to wear pants around him, His Mother and Maria.

She knew what she was getting into.wow wow uh oh uh oh wow wow
