James_Pond: my personal opinion is that on the whole women have gotten very 'ballsy' in recent times (not all, but more than not in my opinion)
i love femininity, i think it's a great thing, but i think it's fast becoming lost

What is your idea of femininity?
Pregnant, barefoot and chained to the kitchen sink?
Afraid to speak until you've given her permission to do so and told her what she's allowed to say?
Sitting at home darning your socks while you're at the pub?
Only going where you take her? And waiting for you to pay for everything, tell her how to dress/speak/act?
Come on explain..I'd love to know.
Judging by your feelings that a woman shouldn't drink... but should be ok with you drinking. I would really really love to know what you think is feminine behaviour!!

yea i have to agree some girl/women are a lot more braising i couldnt be like that but i guess everyone to their own but i think some guys are like that as well its just not the women, but i personally prefer someone down to earth and just been themselves and not full of it or trying to prove how good he or she is
women might act more feminine "whatever that may be" if men were more like men and treated women more like women....think the guys should have a look at their own behaviour before they judge the women...think men these days coul do with a major overhaul!then come back and ask a woman to be "feminine" whatever they class that word as
cailin_beag: You started this, so i think an answer to the lady's question would be appreciated!!
there's no need for me to answer the question. i don't believe i need to be stereotyped as a strap a woman to the kitchen sink kind of guy. if someone can't ask a simple question without people trying to read between lines and invent things that aren't there, then what's it all come to

I agree and I think men should act more like gents, like would it kill a guy to hold the door for his GF? Most don't, I'm lucky I have a gent, but I was a long time looking! And as for ladies, I think I am but saying that I will stand my corner and not get walked on.

So explain what you mean by femininity!!!
You brought up the subject... you must know what you mean. So give us stupid drunken birds the benefit of your infinite wisdom.

Well i disagree............cos i think there is a need for you to answer the question. The lady posted a reply to your thread, and you tried to patronise her for giving her opinion.

i think it's an easy excuse to use the way other people as an excuse for the way you act yourself. I've come across some downright rude and horrible women in my time, but i've never let that stop me from being a gentleman. I act like a gentleman because i think that's how men should be. Nothing anyone ever does or says to me will change that

No I think he should ask both you and wexlady over to watch his new 46" tv, let you drink all his beer and he should do the washing up in the sink afterwards...... without any shoes on....

sorry thats completely untrue . the lady in question morealess vehemently accused me of being a chauvanist pig, and i in no way deserved that. i'm here to have a healthy conversation, i have no interest in having unfounded accusations thrown at me
