Well Linfield are in the Irish League, which is the league in Northern Ireland, as distinct from the league here in the Republic, the League of Ireland. (confusing isn't it, lol!)
The LoI is a bit better than the IL.
The cup final is Shamrock Rovers v. Sligo Rovers, with Shamrocks going for the double. They are the two best footballing sides in the league and the match should be good, try and see it if you can, they are also the best supported sides and the atmosphere should be better than it normally is!
Sorry, should have explained. Galway United FC are the League of Ireland team in my town. Shamrock Rovers won the league while GUFC are involved in a relegation play-off on Tuesday. The winner will stay in the premier division while the loser will have another play-off against the second-from-top in the first division.
GUFC are poorly supported as the Galway public don't 'do' supporting of sports in great numbers.
He had vision but that was adopted by people like the Provos and the INLA ever since. A lot of people who would just have been left-wing also became republican because of his writings perhaps.
