I don't mean to critizise anyone personally and I understand why people who've been on the site a long time and then meet someone want to keep in contact. But I just wonder why someone says "not single-not looking", why are they here then? In theory there's no limit to space and numbers but in practice in doesn't work like that, imagine if every member posted at the same time?

This issue - and I wish I hadn't said anything in the first place - is nothing compared to some of the disgusting things that some idiot has said on here today, I hope something can be done about that.

One, but my main point is that once you meet someone you should move over and "leave the field" to those who haven't.

Lol! I might just inflict a pic on everyone alright. But on your main point - meeting through a third party - the reason why there are singles sites in the first place is because real life doesn't always work! So the last thing you should do is bring in the features of real life into the singles site, that just defeats the purposes of the site from the start.

Have to say that I hadn't thought of your second point and it's a good one alright but still it is meant to be a site for singles. No matter what way you look at it a person who's not single is taking up space that could be taken by a single person.

No of course you don't find anything selfish about it, because you don't understand the point of this site, it's to meet someone! Every time you post (someone who's in a relationship I mean) you are taking the place of someone who's looking and could be posting instead of you, thereby putting themselves in the window - so to speak!

It doesn't state it in the rule book! True but it doesn't state anywhere that you should give up your seat on the bus to an old person either! and yet you'd do it, out of simple good manners. Being in a relationship and staying here is unfair on people who are here to meet someone, you're making it harder for them, and all because you have to have what you want! How selfish can you get!

Once you met someone you should have left the site. Let me put it this way, if you bring your car to a garage to get it fixed you drive away when it's fixed, you don't hang around all day after, chatting to the mechanic! If you were to do that you would be getting in the way of people who's cars needed fixing!

Sure, it's hard to flirt on a forum! but it's a way of getting noticed for people and things move on from that.

I doubt if you are, I'm sure you'll do what you like. This site is a dating site however and so you should'nt be on it if you're only looking for chat.

If people really offered you money than you must have had a talent for it and should think about doing it on a serious basis. There are micro-breweries springing up, including here in Galway but I've tried the beer there and it's just not good, sad but there you are.

Lost me too!
As for home brew beer that was fairly big in the mid-eighties but it never caught on as beer is just too cheap, it's even cheaper now and the worst beer that you buy in Lidl will taste better than the stuff you make yourself.

My nephew is doing work on my house, painting and garden ext, I'm paying him 5euro per hour. I know it's less than minimum wage but my sister wants me to pay him that because it's easier work than working in a chipper, shop or restaurant. Kids shouldn't get money too easily, what you earn you value.

There's a saying - can't remember it exactly - but something to do with seeing ourselves as others see us. It can be very interesting. I've sometimes been amazed and alarmed when told by someone how they perceive me. Anyone else experienced that?
