Big_John: Really the Mississippi Gulf Coast is very nice in the Spring and Fall. Summers are extremely hot and you must play in the water or stay indoors with air conditioners. Winter are mild with very few very cold days.
We do have 28 miles of white sand beaches. Two miles from my home across the bridge to Biloxi are the casinos. I think there are now 13 of them. Plenty to do here and enjoy.

denmcintyre: Definitely on my list, but I need to live on a budget right now lol..my first choices were Thailand and Philippines, cheap to live but way to expensive to get there.. My newest and possibly best option is Puerto Rico.. checking some things out now and may fly down after I get back from Virginia in a few weeks.. but yes CHerry, Iceland has always been at the top of my list..

Big_John: The weather has ben perfect for playing golf and my game was slowly coming back until I caught this spring cold. Haven't played in over a week. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get out and hit a few.

Just got back from the pool, what you said reminded me of the book I brought with me, Jimmy Buffet - A Pirate Looks at 50... I used to do the shirt and tie corporate thing, had a good job, enough money and nice things, but I hated my life..so I moved to the beach, then after a few years I ran out of money and had to get a real job again and hated my life lol... Now I have a plan.. I will continue to work and save and in August or September it's off to Western Puerto Rico to live in a studio apartment on the beach, drink rum, chase girls and love my life again lol...some like it more UNsettled

Had no idea how feasible it was until I couldn't sleep last night and was screwin around online.. found a one way flight for $100 and dozens of small beach side apartments for around $400 to $500 a month.. it's much less than I pay here..I think it's just time, for me anyway, to take that blind leap and enjoy my life before I can't...and ps. you are alaways welcome im really jealous now

I am done with the rat race, let the rats run it.. while my friends are stressing over their mortgage, car notes and other assorted daily annoyances.. I will be sipping rum and my biggest concern will be what to eat for dinner... what can i say, I am a dreamer and a hippie at heart just now im into some career

Every Summer you must keep an eye on the weather channel for hurricanes to come visit. Trust me I have lost two homes to them and nothing is fun about living in the path where hurricanes come every Summer.
