rizlared: I am fast realising that love means different things to different people, especially between East and West, Here in China they seem to see Love as a friendship rather than an emotional connection, couples marry because they like each other, then they have a child so stay together, but in what is blatantly a loveless marriage. When you ask a Chinese woman over 35 years of age to define love, she struggles, fortunately the younger generation seem to have a fully understanding and are actively seeking a loving relationship rather than follow their parents footsteps.
very interesting observtion....... and correct....i think
DaMennis: I was talking to mY neighbour ,Good Old Mr. Wilson ....and he said he believed in god, but he did not believe in love ...
you know what ...that really got me thinking.....
now i know and preach ....that for a man ...love is something to give ...and not to seek ....
i believe a woman will respond to a mans love ....(and can love too) ..
but a man must look at love as something to give . a real man gives love and care and provision and protection.... till his last breath.... with out being asked the song Wicked game.. by Chris .Isaak ..ends as follows
.......... NO BODY ....LOVES.......NO ONE...
WHAT DO YOU SAY?
love can exist between all humans but the love between two people is an exclusive love- which can also exist- just takes a lots more work. But - yeah - I believe in love in whatever form
Theologians , ariests, writers, poets and historians have pondered the question of love through out the history of man. Would Romeo and Juliet ever been written if there had not been love? Would DaVinci been able to capture a gaze in a woman's eyes and a smile as he did in the Mona Liza, without love or passion? Would we, who look upon the beauty of their works and see the passion they held? Or see the beauty of a rose? What beauty, what passion, what senses would lie dormant without love? How could we want to exist without without passion that is a product of love? This is just another stupid posting I've written. But if we didn't believe in love, what are we doing here?
