After watching the news and seen the trouble in the North do you think that should ban the Orange Order marches to protect the peace process please no racist comments.
GalwayGuy35: No not ban them but they shouldnt force them down the Nationalist areas when the residents are against it. How would they like a republican march down the shankill i wonder?
totally agree on that one i think they shoud rerouted.
After days of Republican/Nationalist thugs bombing, shooting, stoning, looting, arson, vandalism etc etc......
They are the scumbags trying to collapse the peace process.
And all you and your friends can think of is the Orange Order!!!!!!!
No wonder the Unionists are determined to stay British!!!!
Try banning the 1916 commemoration and Patrick's Day Parades while you're at it!!
Perhaps ypu shpuld have read what the poll was about before comin out with the remarks you just did. The 1916 march doesnt go down the shankill for example, where as the orangemen wanna go down the Ardoyne which is a Nationalist/Catholic area in spite of the residents being against it. So at least have an arguement before shootong your mouth off faceless man.
They should only be allowed to march in their own area and not be allowed anywhere near nationalist area.
If it just about celebrating why would they want to anyway. When I want to celebrate and have a party I do it with like minded people. Why do the p.s.n.i. give them permission to do so.
thunor: if they ban orange marches they should have to ban green ones too for it to be fair and above board if people stoped caring about who walked where it would be better
I'll lay my cards on the table here. I'm a Scots Protestant. In my mind there's a lot of misinformation here by people with their own agenda.
The way I see it, there will be no peace until there are NO nationalist and loyalist areas and until the schools and other resources are mixed. I saw the same in Glasgow growing up and it creates an us and them mentality. Can you imagine if we had catholic and protestant hospitals, cinemas, taxis, buses etc....that's apartheid.
Obviously most folk here in the south are going to take the nationalist view here but banning the marches will inflame the situation.
I must say that both sides have made huge concessions already and a few idiots should not be allowed to derail the peace process. It is up to the people of both comunities in the 6 counties not to allow this regarless of which jurastiction they are accountable to.

thats what im on about why should you care what religion someone is and history should be history learn from it and move on i have never partisipated or supported segregation, besides some of the founders of the free state were protestant

I'm always reluctant to mention that. There was a time when the, "Black Protestant," landowners wanted freedom from Westminster. Wolfetone himself was protestant as was Roger Casement. I believe half the signatures on your proclamation were protestant too. The English army at the Battle of the Boyne was financed by the Vatican for political reasons.
Seems this issue is more complex than some would have us believe!

Perhaps you should read and re-read the poll several times, and it might eventually register.
Where does it mention the march down the Ardoyne??
You're merely spoofing because I've hit a nerve...
tornado778: youre the troll that came on a dating site talking bout politics,, like ive said in my reply...if ya dont like us,,,or Eire,, leave,,, simple,,who are you to say if ive issues or not?????? robend of discussion as far as im concerned
Looks like you have another issue with the member who started the poll.....
If you are upset about politics being discussed you should make your feelings known to CS - and not be whinging about it here....
Makes me wonder why you commented at all....
'End of discussion' suggests a closed mind, and someone who can dish it out, but can't take it....

Easy for you to say you dont live up there. If the residents dont want them going down their area then their wishes should be respected.
poldy: I'll have to explain it to you once again!!! The poll doesn't mention marches going down nationalist areas... As for your 'trouble on the 12th' that was all caused by Nationalist and Republican scumbags... There was plenty of trouble where there weren't any marches at all!!!!!! You don't want to know about that, of course. You'd rather play the violin about the downtrodden Nationalists!!!!!!! Just an excuse to have a bigoted go at the Orangemen.... Try and keep calm - you are getting over excited.... And your insults show that you know you're losing - and are getting desperate....
Its a debate no one is gettin desperate or over excited sunshine. Im well aware what the poll was about im just broadening the debate looking into the reasons why things are the way they are up there. Orangemen are the most bigoted group on this island thats a fact and yeah i do take the Nationalist side but its dissedent republicans who are behind the trouble and not the residents who are objecting to the march going into their area. And if you had read my first post you would have seen that i said i didnt think the marches should be banned but should be kept out of nationalist areas. And ppl can see me on here giving my opinion im not some person hiding behind a pictureless profile like you are.

Having 'broadened the debate' and 'looked into the reasons why things are the way they are' - the only reason you have come up with is that 'Orangemen are the most bigoted group'....
What a stunning, comprehensive analysis of the Northern Ireland troubles over 40 years!!!!
Since you're so keen on Ardoyne - the people there protested yesterday at the mindless destruction carried out by a Nationalist/Republican mob!!!!
The Orangemen claim that these parades are 'part of their culture'. Coincidentally, it was good to see the nationalist residents of Londonderry celebrating their becoming the UK City of Culture in 2013!!!!
You are really obsessing that I don't have a picture!!!! And jumping to conclusions that it means 'I'm hiding'!!!!!!
