@Shay: I was not talking about you and I being friends. I was simply telling you that if someone (in this case Me) is trying to help you and gives a bit of their own experience of how they handle what you have been talking about, It is only common decency to acknowledge that person as a human being. But you felt you could not bother to waist your time to do this simply act. You should not expect to find an answer to your rejection if you can not show respect to others.

Shay, rejection comes in many forms. When you pass by someone who takes an interest in what you have to say..... but then you do not take less than a minute of your life to even acknowledge that person, then you have just rejected that person. Can you guess who I am talking about??? Learn from your own actions Shay.

My means of handling rejection is not to REACT to it but to RESPOND to it in my own personal way, because to react is to remain in a place in which you are still vunerable to the Rejector. To respond, is to take all the pain and hurt into your own hands, and say to yourself: " I have control... how will I handle this." You then place the rejector out of your decision and you are the one who will decide the outcome of the rejection, by doing this.

I kind of feel a bit sad for you, but that is not going to solve your earthly journey problems. Let's see. You work all day, come home and get a bit to eat then you don't know what to do with yourself.
Right? Well, when you can, how about a game of pool, could meet someone there: or do you like any sports.. go to a ball game.. potential there. A bowling club. All kinds of clubs around (but be careful to choose the right one). Are you getting the point?? YOU have to make the effort to try different activities. Lost of places need a helping hand... but you have to decided what you would like to do... women do not just come up and decide YOU'RE THE MAN. Good Luck Oh yes, a smile always helps.

You got a winner there RoofusX. I guess all of us can be guilty of either the wrong or too greater expectations. I guess that could apply to me, but my greater error is more like not knowing what my expectations should be. Due primarily to a great lack of association with the opposite gender. And usually and unfortunately, when it does happen, it turns out to be a very negative experience. Women also have great expectations, and I rather expect that I have never lived up to them. So, why am I here. Well I live alone, as most of my life and just find a bit of comfort talking to people even though they are strangers. The profile-- is true enough.. I've got noting to lose... but unlike some on a dating site, they are looking for their future. I am satisfied at this stage ( unless the most unexpected happens ) to be a good friend. And maybe have a few laughs in the meantime.
