Age
The reason for the title is that over the past few days I've had two women of my own age coming up to me at work saying that I should be at home with my feet up. Nice of them to be concerned about me. In April I will be 55 and I have no intention of putting my feet up and watching life go by. I enjoy being active, for me being older doesn't mean slowing down it just means that I intend to make the most out of whatever life I have left.My job isn't just about talking to the customers making sure they're enjoying their meal. It's also about making sure that the restaurant is clean so that the customers can sit and enjoy their meal in a clean environment. This means a lot of walking around, bending down and from time to time stretching. The job is more than earning a wage to make ends meet it's a way to meet new people and make friends. We also have a good laugh at work. When I'm at work I literally come alive. Even when I retire in 10 years time I have no intention of sitting at home watching life go by. I'm going to live an active life and enjoy every single second of it. Living a happy and fulfilling life can be had by everyone regardless of age. Life does not stop just because we get older.
