Results of my tests

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had undergone some tests on one of my fingers---a blood test and x rays. Well the results are back. No fracture but rhuematoid arthritis which has also started affecting my left knee making it painful to go up and down stairs. The doctor has given me some gel to sooth the pain and is arranging for me to see someone at the hospital to talk about drugs to control the arthritis. I won't let this get me down. I intend to grow old disgracefully and enjoy life laugh Have a good day/evening everyone.teddybear hug bouquet

Yes it is parti but in a way I've been expecting it. I was talking to my daughter about the tests and since my father talks to her about medical stuff that runs in the family (I once asked my parents years ago about anything medical that I might need to know and was told it wasn't any of my business). Well she told me that he had told her arthritis runs in the family. It was bound to happen sooner or later. There are treatments to control it and I'll cope. There are people going through worse so compared to some I'm lucky.
hi Sweet,

Well is life sometimes we have pain to feel we are alive isn't it? wink
But whatever you do use the gel don't take pills that wont make you better and u know that, just try some exercise like aerobic but in the swiming pool im not joking and you will see help a lot.hug bouquet
Thank you for your comments. Laz good suggestion about the aerobics in the swimming pool but you will not get me anywhere near a swimming pool I dislike water above knee level. The thought terrifies me worse than my thing about dead birds. Funny thing Ed my daughter said on facebook this afternoon that perhaps this might slow me down a bit and encourage me to rest up more---will it heck as like I love being active. I walk around a lot in my job and I like walking when I'm not working. Still she has my best interests at heart. All it will basically mean is that when it comes to heavy lifting at work I will delegate a bit more. teddybear bouquet

I am sorry to hear about the test result, I remember my aunt was having similar problem with her knees that she couldn't walk for sometime and her treatment was swimming.

Anyway, I hope you'll get proper treatment for you soon and have a good day to you, too hug teddybear
