I've had a couple of weeks of overnight shifts followed by a week of day shifts and from tomorrow I'm back on overnights again. Compared to last year I'm getting more shifts so I'm happy. I've been getting out and about more and exploring The Lanes in Brighton. The Lanes are reputedly haunted by a nun who was bricked up alive centuries ago for, from what I've read, having a romance with a monk. I discovered a quaint little shop that deals with Angel ornaments and various objects to do with angels. It's tiny but it has some beautiful things in there and the owner is friendly and helpful. Sometimes it's good to act like a tourist in your home town and discover things that are sometimes missed as we go about our daily business. Have a good day/evening everyone.teddybear hug bouquet

Thank you for your comments. I've also come to a decision about going away for a break next year. I've always wanted to visit the Lake District. This morning I went out and got some holiday brochures so I can start making plans. I've talked to my son and he's willing to look after the pets whilst I'm away. It will be the first time in over 30 years that I've gone away somewhere and stayed in a hotel. teddybear bouquet hug
