Beachy Head
Today I went to visit an infamous beauty spot. I say infamous because over the years Beachy Head has acquired a reputation for being a suicide hot spot and is supposed to be haunted.
The first ghost is that of a monk dressed in black who is said to beckon people over the edge of the cliffs. Legend is that during Henry IIIV's reign this monk was shackled by the King's officials and thrown off the cliff. This legend has never been confirmed as historical fact.
There have also been reports of people seeing the ghost of a woman clutching a baby disappearing over the edge of the cliffs. The story about this ghost isn't known.
It was a windy day today and we did have some heavy showers but despite it's reputation Beachy Head is a beautiful place to visit and I had a lovely time taking photos and having a lovely pub lunch afterwards. On the way there I saw a couple of other places I'd like to visit and since I have a week off work starting 9th September I've already made plans to visit those places. Have a good day/evening everyone.
