Show them the multiple times in the Quran that says the earth is flat, ask the kid why they think no one has presented evidence for god to the Royal Society of Scientists or the National Acadamy for verification.

Then let the kid see the outcome of trial Kitzmiller Vs Dover USA 2005, Judge Jone presiding and the hard DNA evidence man evolved and occured naturally.

See if that works.

We can only advise our kids and hope they make the right choice, but in the end childhood indoctrination is a powerful tool, if you teach your kid a magic man lives in the sky then you can't complain if he goes further into that belief you may have installed.

Peer group pressure is also a strong influence and you have to wonder how they made friends with such people.

Saying that "god is not disproven so is true" is the thinking of the desperate short of evidence.
The list of things that are not disproven is INFINATE and futile to consider!
Just because we have not disproven we live on a matians eye ball called our universe doesn't mean we should give it consideration.
It matters only what is reasonable based on evidence available!
