I totally agree with you..It's something really hard to do and I agree it will hurt the other person even if you do it gently...It is a very difficult situation actually, but it is worse if you are not honest and you keep a relationship just because you feel sorry..So, I prefer honesty although it hurts!!!
I am not superstitious, but this is something happened to me in the past several times and some relatives told me after that: "Don´t tell people things until they are a fact because they won´t become true". But, I agree with you, it depends on people´s beliefs and perspective..In my case, I prefer thinking that luck doesn´t exist, but I respect other points of view.

I agree most people don´t care and are even glad you have problems. However, there are always a few people who really care about you and worry about what can happen to you. You just need to realize who they are and who deserve your confidence.
