RE: Free Will

And then bible talks about not casting your pearls....

RE: Free Will

There're are not,and have not ever been any deragotory or disrespectful comments in my posts to you. It is you who have resorted to twisting and misrepresenting both my words and the intended meaning of the scriptures in order to justify yourself. This is now your 3rd or 4th blog on the same subject, that I'm aware of. I don't know how many you might have deleted. I do learn from all things and people, even yourself. Your discussions are posted in an open forum. They are not between yourself and some other individual member. You purposely use an open forum as a vehicle to publicly besmear God in the eyes of others, which you perceive as your duty, and I simply provide the biblical view.
You have chosen a user name Socrates,in orded to appear wise by assosiation. It's obvious that being considered such is what you really crave to bolster your pride. Is this an incorrect observation? Please, name a religion where a runaway pride is considered an admirable trait? Will you now accuse me once again of being disrespectful or making deragotory remarks? It seems to me that, that to borrow a movie phrase, you siply can't handle the truth, meaning that you would be much happier just dishing out lies unchecked. Lies about God,and about people who speak the truth. And while on the subject of respect, would you consider this to be a behaviour worthy od respect? How about some of that
famous meditative introspection, that you should be an expert at, as a practitionar of your own system of belief? Why aren't you faithful to your own set of preceipts? Honestly, while I only subscribe to Christian views,I do hold much respect for those who sincerely and dilligently practice other faiths. You claim to
know the bible, and I do know form past personal involvement the other faiths. Based on my knowledge,I'm able to confidently state that do not represent even your own faith well. Case closed!

RE: Free Will

You have only quoted one side of the scriptures that pertains to the subject of judgement. Why have you ommited the part where we
are encouraged to judge with spiritual judgement? God in His word has made it abundantly clear to all, what He considers good
and honorable and what is abominable and evil. If I restate His position, then I do not judge on my own,and I need not fear that God will judge me for repeating His words. Your relationship with God is an adversarial one, with all the consequenses plainly explained. I add nothing of my own,so like it or not, you've been told the truth.

RE: Why I Like Arab Muslim Culture and Traditions

Then we would loose the uniqueness and specialness of individuality,it's better to enjoy the variety. Just like it would be boring if all people of earth intermarried and we ended up an avaraged out mix of all.

RE: Why I Like Arab Muslim Culture and Traditions

Every culture has much good to offer. Those who look to find it,do. And those who look for evil, find it as well.

Eyes express the inner world. If there be beauty or otherwise.

RE: think twice before giving out your personal phone

Actually,it's probably preferable to have video calls with a person, prior to rushing out to meet them. Seeing them on the screen will give many clues as to their real motives,if one is observant.

RE: want help in guitar learning..

You need an actual live teacher, inroll in a class.
Also, have your guitar set up properly so that it's easy to play and does not slow you down.

RE: Abducting Children From Family ...

Most goverments feel threatened by an idea of home-schooled children, becuase they will not be sufficiently exposed to the official dogmas of the state, and grow up lacking the required
brainwashing, making them free thinkers and therefore a source of potential danger.

RE: Marriage should not remain a social union, but bec

Dear omonoountes,I too have prayed for sick people of other faiths. God is righteous for all,but only in Christ that righteousness is given to a human being. Any orthodox church
wholeheartidly embraces what I had written on marriage, and you
appear to be at odds with it,not to mention being at odds with God Himself. You said that my inquiry was not sincere in it's nature, and that is a form of accusation. You have now leveled accusations against both myself and Xuan Mai for no reason at all. You speak much of peace between people and are quick to instruct them to seek forgiveness. Don't you realize that undeserved accusations do not make for peace, and that you are in need of much forgiveness because of it? Does your bible say: touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm? May God have mercy on your soul.

RE: Marriage should not remain a social union, but bec

Dear omonoountes,

There are some 3000+ divisions of Christian faith, yet all are united by a body of beliefs central to the faith. I try not to express personal opinions. What I have stated falls under category of that main cental core set of beliefs that unites all who name the name of Christ. I'm genuinly curious to understand which part of my statement you found yourself at disagreement with, because I have never encountered another believer who would, and this is a learning oportunity for me.

RE: Marriage should not remain a social union, but bec

Blessed are those who do not condemn themself by the things of which they approve.

RE: Marriage should not remain a social union, but bec

Of all types of contracts and agreements known, covenants are the strongest and most binding. Of all the covenants,a blood
covenant is the most sacred and profound. Marriage is a blood covenant. All other forms came into being after the fall of mankind from grace. Marriage alone is the covenant that was instituted in paradise, before transgression effected human race.

There isn't a single perfect formula or solution. However,it is the qualities, such us maturity and common sense, that are in very short supply. This is what hinders most in their relationships.

Actually,I'm very greatful.I got to experience many wonderful things and see miracles streight out of book of acts. Among them
many healings, jobs found, reconsiliations, all sorts of personal victories. All credit goes to the Lord who granted them, but it feels good to be a small part of the process.

Even God gets angry. His word says,be angry but sin not.
There's such thing as a righteous,justified indignation.

Xuan Mai,

Part of my growing up was in the former USSR. All religious thought was banned, and all places of worship closed, repurposed or preserved for viewing as art. KGB encouraged people to rat out
any suspected believers, their punishment was prison if they were
labeled as subversives,or mental institution if they were deemed
mentally ill. Either way, they were not seen again. I've never seen a bible or spoken to a believer while there. It was one of the greatest miracles of God in my life how He got us out of that hell hole,so that years later I would be saved in US.

Hi Ed1941,

I wish miracles happened more often, but the more we pray/fast,
the more answers to prayer we will receive, and after some years
go by,there will be stories to tell. God is not a waiter,He does not stand ready to take our order, but when things line up just right(and there are many variables)incredible things happen.

Hi Smalldutchgirl,

Thank you for posting your testimony. I had similar thing happen many years ago. I wanted to quit smoking, but everyone in my family was a smoker, and I knew I had no chance with all that smoke around me. After my pastor prayed for me my entire family decided to try to stop smoking. They did not know the Lord and soon went back, but it gave me a window of opportunity to break free.

People of this world all share Adam's fallen nature and are very proud, wanting to take credit for everything. This is what's keeping them from receiving many blessings. Bible says that God resists the proud, but gives grace to te humble.

Xuan Mai,

God says in the bible, what do you have that you have not received, and if it was received, why boast as though it wasn't?
That was a good joke, thanks for sharing.

Let me give you an example of what I was talking about.

A man asked for prayer during bible study. The goverment was
forclosing on his property, with only few days left until the auction. They were not willing to negotiate or extend any terms. It happened because family renting the house neglected to pay tax on it,as per their agreement, for several years. Three days after I prayed for him, asking God for a miracle, same man told me that he got a call, and now the officials were so nice and understanding, telling him that they do not want him to loose his house and that they were willing to forgive some of the debt and give favorable terms for repayment of the existing balance.

Another lady was coming to the service for prayer, but her car was totaled on the way. I told not to fear and come next time.
She was an RE agent, working on a deal that had no chance of happening due to mistrust. Next day after I prayed for her, she called to say that there was a complete turnaround in an attitude, and in an unbelievably short time that house sold, earning her huge comissions. GOD IS GOOD! peace

All the laws of nature that govern our universe are put in place
by God. Science only discovers them so that we may learn to apply them. God and science are not at all mutually exclusive.
Every miracle, like Jesus walking on water and raising Lazarus from the dead, involve unknown to us solid prinsciples that are
plain and simple to God who instituted them. He calls these acts miracles, and so do we.

Sista Callie,

In the bible it actually works both ways, depending upon what we are reffering to. If we talk about hope of resurrection and life to come, then first comes the natural existance, and then the hoped for eternal. But when it comes to getting miracles from the Lord,we first submit a petition to our Father(which is prayer)and if He answers by voice in our inner self or by peace in our heart,or by a word of prophesy through another believer, then we receive the promice by faith, and patiently wait for it to manifest here in the physical realm, thanking God for it in advance. There're times when God will specifically tell us what to do or to pray, and if we obey,He faithfully fulfills His end of it. I have tons of stories from my own life in this regard.
Would love to hear some of yours too yay

Hi Sands88,

You know, too many people think and expect for God to speak to them through words-a sermon at church,or during meditation on God's word. But in fact God speaks to us all the time, and in many ways,if we can only be sensitive enough to perceive it.

I've heard God through a message on the billboard, and also through circumstances.

I meant to say that things that are seen come from things that are INVISIBLE.

Have you ever witnessed or received a miracle from

Hi Sista Callie,

I think it's absolutely awesome how Holy Spirit prepares the way for salvation, speaking to us in our hearts, and chipping away at
our hardness, untill we are ready to respond to the offer of salvation. There's not much preaching on it,and we do not celebrate His work in us,which could take for some many many years. His work is done in silence, but each person can vividly recall the circumstances surrounding their salvation. But we understand by faith that things which are seen came from things that are not invisible, and every time it happens,we have a miracle applause
