I truly understand what you're saying. From a lifetime of broken promises it makes it hard to trust anyone. My mother was the absolute worst one for breaking a promise so I learned early.

Realize that there are truthful, honest people out there who will respect you enough, and themselves, to keep their word to you. The rest aren't worth your time anyway.
