Not paranoid really, just being informed. I've met men that say they have no criminal history, yet I have found it, have said they were only married once, and have found they were married 3+ times, domestic violence charges against them, restraining orders and so on. So i definately will to protect myself and my family from a predator or someone who has been arrested 3 times for hitting their past 3 wives.
I have came across a lot of people who need to take a good look at themselves. 'A few extra pounds' does NOT mean 300+, I'm not a tall woman, only 5'6" and when the guy says he's 5'9"+ and we meet and he's my hieght and 300 pounds, it's very discouraging. What I don't understand is if you plan on actually meeting someone, why lie? I asked one guy who showed up and was at least 350 why he lied about what he was and he said because he thought after we met and got to know each other that I would look over his weight and he was scared that I wouldn't meet him if he had told me his real weight. Well, I told him, you got me there. I wouldn't have.
I agree! But the majority of men think you're too needy when you want to hear from them every day. What's wrong with having that excited feeling when you see his number on your caller ID? When he calls you on his lunch break because he just couldn't help himself? Geez, how does anyone concider this stalking or being clinky?
While I definately have compassion for people who are in these countries and who's lives would be so much better if they only got what was necessary for them to survive, I don't have much compassion for having litters of children when you know you can't feed them. One way of showing these people respect, because believe it or not...we can't save the world...is to appreciate what we have and give as much as possible to those who don't have. Doesn't always have to be money you give, sometimes all you can give is time. There's not an easy fix, an easy answer, an easy way out/in or way to look at the hunger crisis in the world.
There are so many 'disabilities' and to such different degrees that it's hard to answer this simply. There are some people who have physical or mental challenges that work hard to over come them. To those people I admire. Then there are people who are truly disabled because they chose not to live their life because of their challenge but to get as much pitty, attention and charity as they possibly can.
A good cup of coffee. Talking all night with a good friend. Campfires. Fishing. Playing with my grandsons. Taking walks in the woods. Anything creative. I think my most favorite of all things is... making someone smile...making their day better.
